Safeguarding Policies- under development 14/11/23

The aim of this page is to

a) give a one stop place to easily find policies which Nigel has found useful or are essential to our work in safeguarding and

b) give a fixed source (as they are on the Aire and Calder website) that will not disappear as those on the connnexional site might move/change and

c) give some perspective of their currency and /or change history

If you learn that a connexional or more useful document is available, please inform Nigel (Storey- CSO) so that this page can be updated

Policies/ procedures or guidance below are not intended to be in a priority order, but you might find they are in order of usefulness. Please note that it is felt just to agree a policy without local procedures or actions can be of lower value.

Categorised as:

1 is the main overarching policy

2 concern recruitment; helping ensure that our volunteers are background checked and have a job description

3 and 4 concern our work with young people (i..e those vulnerable)

are health and safety related

5, 6 and 7 are property related- especially external (not through our bank account) users

10 concerns how we use photographs- links to 3, 4 and 11
